Wimbledon Living

The property market in Wimbledon is booming again after a legendary year of tennis. This is an exceptionally attractive area with many of the more high-end properties in the Wimbledon village area. Over the summer thousands will visit the area, many coming just for the tennis fortnight.

During the grand slam competition some Wimbledon inhabitants will actually leave the area, renting out their homes for a premium - some to tennis players or their entourage. At this time of year it's not uncommon to see some of the tennis stars and their guests on the streets of the town, browsing the shops.

Buying a property close to the tournament grounds can be a very good investment as you can make an excellent profit renting it out. As well as the tennis players themselves there are many ardent fans who come to watch every day. With hundreds of matches being played on 19 grass courts there are many people involved in the competition who will be looking for accommodation.

Finding a place to eat is easy with the great variety of food and beverage locations in the village and in nearby communities. Bistros, pubs and cafes create a nice atmosphere for chatting about the day's activities and to mix with locals.

The village is filled with rows of redbrick homes and well established greenery. There are many lovely parks and local activities within the local community. Getting around is easy with on an exceptional transportation system.

It is very easy to travel into the centre of London from Wimbledon. You can go and experience all the pleasures and sights of the capital and return home very quickly on the very good public transport.

In Wimbledon, the properties are excellent. The gardens are unsurpassed and the amenities are spectacular. When the tennis on these aspects are rarely seen as everyone is watching the grand slam.

Wimbledon Common is a very large green area extending over land filled with tress and shrubbery great for walking, hiking or biking. This land amounts to over 1000 acres. This is as close as one can get to being in the country so close to the city.

Around the Wimbledon Common area there are some lovely homes. Many families move here because of the green space and the good schools. Wimbledon Common also has the famous windmill to visit.

Transport systems serving Wimbledon are very good indeed. Buses, trams, trains and tubes link the area to the city, Waterloo and a range of other convenient stations. Getting into town and across to other
