Locating Retirement Homes In Leisure World Seal Beach

By Ericka Marsh

When it comes to retirement homes, there are apartments, mobile home parks, private residences and senior centers. While there are a number of different options for senior housing, those desiring to live, or near the city of Seal Beach, CA have some of the best options available when it comes to retirement homes in Leisure World Seal Beach. For example, this particular community hosts a lot of pros compared to the number of cons which come attached to many others all over the world.

According to some reviews, the place is quite well organized and well ran. Whereas, others show that the association has been negligent in moving forward with technology only accepting cash or money orders rather than credit or debit cards for payment of annual fees. While there is also an on-site credit union, library and medical clinic, the association has been slow to adopt an account and has chosen to continue with the cash or money order only option.

The on-site activities, entertainment and other events are often heavily attended by residents who love to socialize. Also, as the community is somewhat of a town in and of itself, most neighbors become friends over time. After which, it can often be hard not to want to gossip or complain, still the residents seem to remain helpful, kind and respectful of one another approaching each issue one by one.

The area is quite convenient when it comes to public transit as both Orange County and Long Beach buses service the community. The service drops off at a number of grocery stores, shopping centers and discount centers. One system also has drop off and pick up service in Seal Beach, which is noted to be one of the most scenic areas of Southern California.

The on-site library offers a number of different new releases and older films on DVD for a free two day rental with a minimal fee imposed on late returns. There is a local cable provider high offers discounted rates to customers living in the complex. A complex which also boasts two swimming pools, and a number of club rooms with different games and other activities either scheduled or available upon request.

While the local Homeowner's Association may be somewhat slow to move forward with new technology, accepting only cash or money orders for payment, there is an on-site credit union available for those who prefer to bank locally. Other features include a six club rooms which can be rented for private events.

While most people tend to shy away from properties which house a Homeowners Association, the one provided in this particular complex often receives rave reviews from the city, residents and visitors. Something that is especially true when it comes to seniors who often have to pay thousands per year in property tax versus a few hundred out of annual homeowner fees. Whether its for the many features, security or low cost fees, this particular association seems to have the know how to run a senior complex quite efficiently.

Those wishing to learn more about these and other properties in the area may want to look no further than Wikipedia home pages for Leisure World or Seal Beach, California to learn more about different properties aimed toward senior living. For, while Leisure World is one of the best, some individuals may find the rules and regulations set forth by the association a bit too strict.
