Before you apply for the license, you must ensure that you have checked all the requirements you have to meet. Reviewing the requirements will help you not to miss anything. Also, the process will be quicker for you as you will not have forgotten anything. Thus, make sure you have the correct paperwork before you apply for the warranty.

The next step is to make the application once all the documents are ready. A representative of the Department will receive your application. Also, all the paperwork that will be accompanying your application will be received. Your application will be documented in the database, reviewed then approved before you are allowed to begin the construction project you have at hand.

Once the application is received, it will take a few weeks to be approved depending on how complex or simple the project is. The forms will be distributed and reviewed by the appropriate departments. The reviewer of the plan will ensure that the plan has met all city codes as well as ordinances. After this, you will get a notification from the reviewer.

Once the plan has been reviewed, the applicant will receive a notification from the inspector or plan reviewer. Some applicants will be required to make some amendments for their projects to be approved. Other applicants will receive approval without anything to resolve. The Department will notify you once your application has been approved. After that, you will be required to submit some fees so that you can be allowed to pick your license. The license should be picked between Monday and Friday from eight am to five pm.

After that, you have to ensure that inspections have been done and approved. For the inspections to take place, the license number is required by the inspector. After the final inspection has been done and approved, the Community Development Department will start processing the paperwork to close the warranty.
